Alpine Tribe Quest is a team challenge that works in any season and in a range of settings around Lake Annecy, Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry or Grenoble. Participants form tribes and move from one station to the next, where each task asks for a different kind of cooperation. Some stations are physical, with an obstacle course and a building challenge in which each tribe has to assemble a float that must carry its members. Others are mental: the search for a hidden immunity token gives a decisive advantage to whichever tribe finds it first, and the final test is a balance task on poles that settles who takes the trophy. The programme is designed for colleagues with very different habits, so that no one is excluded by fitness and everyone has a role to play, whether as a planner, a builder or a communicator. Because the tribes are reshuffled between rounds, people who usually work apart get the chance to share a task and a laugh. The debrief at the end focuses on what worked: who took the lead, how the group recovered from a mistake, and what the team would do differently next time. The number of tribes, the stations and the time allowed are set when we design the programme.

Objectives

  • Mix colleagues from different departments within shared tribes
  • Train cooperation through tasks that cannot be completed alone
  • Use the lakeside and mountain settings as a relaxed backdrop
  • Close with a structured debrief on team roles and habits

How it works

  1. 1We agree on the date, the number of participants and the preferred setting, then choose the stations that fit the group.
  2. 2Tribes are formed on arrival and receive a short briefing on the scenario and the scoring.
  3. 3Each round moves the tribes to a new station, where an instructor explains the task and checks safety before the start.
  4. 4The immunity token and the final test are revealed in the last round, which keeps the ranking open until the end.
  5. 5A debrief closes the session, followed by refreshments or a meal arranged in advance.

Good to know

  • Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and closed shoes. Some stations are on grass, gravel or uneven ground.
  • Weather affects the choice of setting; an indoor or sheltered alternative is planned when needed.
  • Lakeside and mountain sites are busy in summer; booking several weeks ahead is advised.

Indicative budget

Indicative only, quoted on request according to group size, setting and programme, excluding VAT. No fixed price.

Frequently asked questions

Is the quest suitable for a mixed-fitness group?

Yes. Each tribe has tasks that rely on planning and communication rather than strength, so a less athletic colleague can lead a station as effectively as a fitter one.

Can the quest take place at our own venue?

Yes, the format can be adapted to a garden, a park or a hotel grounds if the space is safe and large enough for the stations. We check the site before confirming the programme.

How is the winning tribe decided?

Points are awarded at each station, and the immunity token and the final test can change the order in the last round. The rules are explained at the start so that every tribe knows how the ranking works.
