Wines from Savoie are less known outside France than their neighbours from Burgundy or the Rhône, which makes a tasting a useful conversation starter for an international group. The workshop covers the main appellations of the region, including Apremont, Abymes, Chignin and Roussette de Savoie for white wines, and Mondeuse for red. The bartender explains how altitude, slope and local grape varieties shape the character of each wine, and why they pair well with mountain food.
The second part is practical. Each team builds two or three cocktails using the wines, a local aperitif style and seasonal fruit, under the eye of the bartender. Non-alcoholic versions are prepared for participants who prefer them, and the recipes are shared at the end so that the group can recreate them at home or at the office. The tone stays relaxed: the workshop is a way to talk, not a formal lesson.
The chalet setting makes the session a good opening to an evening, a break between seminar sessions or a welcome moment for a group arriving in Megève. The programme can be extended with a dinner, and the bar is set up in the main room or on a terrace when the weather allows. Wine selection, glassware and the number of cocktails are confirmed with the client in advance.

Häufige Fragen
Do participants need any knowledge of wine?
No. The workshop is designed as an introduction, and the bartender explains the wines in plain terms. Participants who already know Savoie wines will find more detail on the appellations and grape varieties.
Can the workshop be held outside the chalet?
Yes. It can be moved to a hotel room or a private space in Megève, provided the room allows a bar set-up and the venue is confirmed in advance. The format and the number of cocktails may then need adjusting.
Is the workshop suitable for a mixed group?
Yes. The alcohol-free versions allow every participant to take part fully, and the workshop works for a seminar group as well as for an informal evening. The client may choose to limit the alcoholic part for a professional audience.
