Winter in Megève offers two very different ways to take a team out of the resort, and the choice depends on the group. Dog sledding is the lighter option: participants ride in a sled pulled by a team of dogs along forest tracks, while a musher handles the dogs and the route. It requires no skill, and the dogs and the quiet of the forest make a memorable break in a seminar programme. Where the group wishes and the programme allows, participants can take a short turn at the reins under supervision.
Discovery ski touring is more physical. The group climbs on skis fitted with skins, guided by a mountain guide who selects the route according to the avalanche bulletin, the snow profile and the level of the group. A basic level of downhill skiing is needed, and the guide carries avalanche safety equipment for the whole group. The descent is taken on open slopes or forest runs chosen for safety, and the outing can finish with a warm drink at a mountain restaurant where the programme allows.
Both formats suit a corporate outing that fits into a morning, a half-day programme or an afternoon between two sessions. Equipment is provided, and the guide adapts the pace and the length of the route on the day. We confirm the option, the timing and the level required once the profile of the group is known.

- Participants need warm, waterproof clothing, gloves and sturdy boots. Some participants may prefer to stay in the sled rather than take the reins; the guide will advise.
- The dogs are working animals, and the guide will ask the group to respect their rest and feeding times.

Indicative, between €110 and €170 per person excluding VAT for a half-day session, with equipment and a qualified guide or musher included. Transfers, lift passes where required and groups larger than the standard size are quoted separately.

Do participants need to be fit or able to ski?
Dog sledding requires no skill and little fitness. Ski touring requires a basic downhill skiing level and reasonable fitness. The guide will recommend the format that suits the group after a short conversation with the client.
What happens if the snow or the weather is not suitable?
The guide can change the route, shorten the outing or replace it with a walk at lower altitude. Safety decisions are made on the day, and the group is informed at the meeting point.
Is the activity suitable for a group with mixed ages?
Yes, with a few adjustments. Routes and pace are set for the least experienced participant, and dog sledding is accessible to most ages. Groups with specific mobility needs should share them at booking.
